Why shouldn’t I borrow to buy something that depreciates? To depreciate means that something goes down in value. Let’s say that you want to buy a airsoft gun for one hundred and eighty three dollars and ninety six cents. You probably don’t have the money so you go ask a friend to lend you some. You buy the gun then six months later you find out that it is now just ninety eight dollars. If you waited you could of saved a lot of money and you also have to pay back your friend. Same thing with a car. You ask your parents to lend you some money, but after a while you find out that the car is much cheaper than when you bought it. If a thing that you want to buy depreciates then you might as well wait a month or a few more and see what you want to buy is cheaper or not. Waiting can save you a lot of money so if you wait you can probably save a lot. Here’s a challenge, next time you want to buy something wait a month then see how much it is then.

Which is most important in writing dialogue from memory: accuracy, succinctness, or liveliness? According to Wikipedia a dialogue is a “conversation between two or more people as a feature of a book, play, or movie”. “the book consisted of a series of dialogues”. To bring that down a dialogue is a conversation between two or more people in real life or a movie or a book. I love reading books with good dialogue in them. There are three ways that you can use dialogue in a story. There is accuracy, succinctness, and liveliness. Accuracy is staying on one topic through the whole conversation. Succinctness is a word that I have never heard about before. According to Wikipedia succinctness is “marked by compact precise expression without wasted words“. And last but not least liveliness. Liveliness is when there is action packed into a story with a lot of words and interesting thoughts. What do each of these have to do with a story? Let’s go farther and find out.

First let’s look at accuracy. In a fictional story there will probably not be accuracy because the author could of probably made it off the top of his or her head. In “The War Of The Worlds” H.G. Wells used a lot of inaccurate things because martins would probably never come and invade earth if they existed. If they did though he would be very accurate about it. In biographies or autobiographies accuracy is crucial to the telling of the story of one’s life. You do not want to have fake details about someone’s life even if it were an accident.

Next is the term succinctness. I don’t think it is good to be succinct because I like the extra details in a book or movie. Sometimes things are better if they aren’t succinct. there are some good things from being succinct though. G.A. Henty’s books are not succinct so that is probably why I like them so much. I enjoy reading stories where the dialogue is clear and not confusing, but I do not like when the dialogue is brief. I like reading long conversations, it keeps me involved in the story and I like getting to know the characters. 

Now for liveliness. I like liveliness because I like action. Action is good in a story. I also like long conversations with lots of detail. Out of all of these three liveliness is my favorite because action is amazing and in long talks is even better.

At this current moment I do not have an income, but let’s say for the moment that I do. If I made sixty dollars a week that would be two hundred forty dollars an hour which would be two thousand eight hundred eighty dollars a year. Since I live with my parents I don’t have to pay for anything, but when I grow up I will have to pay for a lot of things. For example electricity, gas for my car, food, and toiletries. Right now I am trying to save up for collage . If I save up thirty dollars a week that would be two hundred and ten dollars a month which would be two thousand five hundred and twenty dollars a year.

To save up easier on things I could not use up as much electricity by watching less TV not use the heater as much. To save on gas I could use my car less and go to cheaper gas stations. for my food I could go to cheaper stores and not eat as much. to save up from toiletries I could buy less, share with a family member, and go to cheaper stores. If I do this well enough I can go to collage someday soon.

As Kourdakov was writing his book he used many contrast to tell us how different things worked in his book. One of these was communist meetings and Sunday afternoons. As a communist Kourdakov hated Christians or as they called them Believers. I don’t think that any one knows that reason accept if you lived back there when it was happening. They raided the Christians meeting and gave them hard beatings they would never forget. Kourdakov did not get much days off accept for some Sundays. On a Sunday morning Kourdakov’s boss told him to get his men and go to a specific area in the woods because there was going to be a Christion Baptismal meeting there. Kourdakov and his men treated it like a normal day off in the woods drinking and playing their guitars and other stuff they did like that until the raid.

Another contrast that was discovered in the book was Kourdakov’s private life and his public life. His private life was working in the KJB or the secret police. Kourdakov was told by his boss to keep the things that they do (beating and taking specific Believers) a secret because if the public found out what they did they might revolt against them. besides his private life was his public life. Kourdakov liked drinking vodka with his cadets because they were like family to him (His parents died, his brother had left him, and he was raised in many different orphanages). Almost everything he did was with his cadets and no one expected him of any wrongdoing. We would never had known this if he had never contrasted his private life and his public life. These contrasts made his book very interesting.

Many people have goals that they want to achieve as they get older. Some may be things like buying an expensive car, getting rich, and going to other continent’s. I also have many goals, but none of them are about doing wrong things. First of all I would like to be a movie producer. Secondly I want to get married. And last but not least I want to have shared the Gospel with as many people I can. I don’t want to do these things so I can get money I’m doing them because I want to share Jesus Crist with the world. But here is each reason by itself so you will understand more.

I love making video’s of things. I don’t have any sort of camera so it’s hard but here is why I love making video’s. As a smaller child all I wanted to do was make movies. All day everyday I daydreamed about making movies so my dad gave me a camera. I made video’s about butchering chickens and getting honey from bee’s wax and I even started trying to make a movie with it (it didn’t turn out well). Why I don’t have it know is because my brothers were very distracted with it that they broke it, but that’s another story. Why I want to do it know is that I want to share the Gospel through the movies that I would make. And also I’m very interested in that kind of stuff.

I’m not very interested in girls now but I’m sure that I will be when I become a teenager. I want to get married because I want children and I want to bring them to Christ.

In the beginning of Sergei Kourdakov’s autobiography “The Persecutor” Kourdakov wrote down that he jumped off Russian boat into the ocean off the coast of Canada into a humongous storm. You may be asking some questions like what led to this failed assignment and why did he jump off pf a Russian boat? This paper is about the choices he made that led to this failed assignment. He chose whether to join the Army or Navy, joining a crime syndicate or staying clean, and telling the truth about suicide or telling a lie. I will tell you about all of these one at a time in this essay.

First whether to join the army or to join the navy. Kourdakov’s father and grandfather were both in the army but soon enough at an enemy camp they were worked to death. Soon enough when Sergei got old enough he wanted to go and work in the army. First he asked some people if he should and they all said that it is a hard life in the army and to stay away from it. Everyone said “You come out of the army and you start as a factory worker. What kind of future is that?” After a while he asked some people who were once working in the navy for information about their life in the navy so he joined the navy instead.

As a teenager Kourdakov joined a crime syndicate. According to the dictionary a crime syndicate is “a loose affiliation of gangsters in charge of organized criminal activities.” It is also another name or word for a mob or mobsters. A crime syndicate makes money by drug trafficking, arms smuggling, extortion (threatening people to get what you want), theft, and financial crime. Because of joining this syndicate he did very well as a KJB (Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti) agent (which later in his life he got honored for).

As when Kourdakov was in the army a good friend committed suicide by jumping out of a three story building and dying. Kourdakov’s boss told him to lie about it and say to everyone that he was drunk and didn’t know what he was doing. He did what his boss told him to do and lied to everyone about his friend dying. Kourdakov tried to help his friend, but he didn’t accept and committed suicide. In case if you ate wondering suicide is the act as if one killing himself. Suicide is terrible so if you ever see someone trying to committe suicide try to help them.

I have not finished this book yet but I hope to soon and find out how many other turning points he had in his life besides just these. Probably jumping off a Russian boat into the ocean in a blazing storm was the biggest turning point in his life. So far this book has been very interesting so please read it.

Why do people like TV. Well there are many reasons, but if you watch too much TV your brain could get inured. Some people watch too much TV and when they get old they won’t have a lot of money because watching TV wasted it. Just a little TV every day isn’t really bad for you, but there are some people that when they were kids watched so much TV that either their brain is wrecked now or they don’t get a lot of money and they are wasting it.

TV isn’t worth it. back then people used to survive without TV so why can’t we do it now. There are many things that we can do today like camping, working, helping elderly people, and playing outside. So why do people still watch TV. It is their decision so if they want to waste their life they can. If you have kids that are still in their young age or maybe any age take them on fun trips and try to keep them away from electronics so they will do it with their kids when they grow up.

If I grow up to be an old man with a bad job and watch TV almost 24/7 then I won’t have a lot of money because I would have wasted it on TV. Don’t grow old to be like that. Use your life for something important rather than watching TV. Share this paper with parents and help kids not to be grumpy old people who sit around and watch TV.

By next year I want to have accomplished the Able Trailman badge in Trail Life. Also, I want to have accomplished my Trek Awana book so that I am able to start my second book on time. I also want to have more chickens for more eggs. I might even start making a plan to get better at piano.

By my eighteenth birthday I want to have accomplished my associates degree. I want to have found a good well paying job. I want to have bought a car. In Trail Life I want to earn the Freedom award. And I want to have saved enough money to go to collage.

By the age 25 I want to have accomplished college. I want to be married by then. I want to buy a house. If I can get a better job I want to have that done.

Hard work always pays off. For example if I want to have my associates degree by when I’m done with Highschool I need to do extra work. My parents won’t make me do it, it’s my choice. If I want to have earned the Freedom award in Trail Life I need to do the work to earn all the other awards then do the work for the Freedom award. If I want a job I have to do hard work so I can get hired. To buy a car I have to earn the money I need. I might not get help so I have to earn the money myself. Getting a job may be easy or hard. It only depends on if your a hard worker. If you work hard enough you could get more money than usual and buy what you need quicker than you would if you were lazy. Let’s say I wanted to go to college and I didn’t have enough money to go. I could get a small job and earn some money maybe even while I was in college. If I want to get better at piano I have to probably put away some other hobby and work on the piano more than I usually would. Going an extra mile in things can help you in a lot of things, but it depends on how hard or how diligent you are.

For another person it might be choosing to start wearing a seat belt after getting into a car accident where they were injured because they were not wearing a seat belt. Maybe your turning point was a spiritual turning point, like mine was. Let me tell you about it.”

A turning point in my life not a major turning point just a normal one was when I started using RonPaulCurriculum.com. Instead of using ACE paces I started to do school on the computer. It is different because I now instead of tests I have to write papers which is what this is. It is hard for me though because this paper is for ninth graders an I am only in seventh grade. I think that Ron Paul Curriculum teaches you more than normal school would though. At first I thought that Ron Paul was hard and boring but now I get taught a lot more than I would if I was still doing ACE.

Trusting Jesus as my Savior also changed my life forever. I don’t remember how or when I trusted Christ as my Savior like my brother Owen as you can see in his paper but I do remember that I did. My brother Owen writes in his paper that after he trusted Christ as his Savior he stoped having nightmares. That is the same for me accept that whenever I go to bed hating someone or being really mad I have nightmares. We go to AWANA every Wednesday night and Trail Life every Monday night. Those are really fun.

If you have any kids that haven’t had any major turning points they could probably have some soon, or if you are a kid yourself and had any you could probably have some soon. All grownups probably already had some. I hope that you learned something about major turning points in this paper and I hope you liked it.

The following are three instances of fire in the Bible. In Acts 28, Paul is bitten by a serpent driven from a bundle of sticks by fire. Moses sees God in a burning bush in Exodus 3. In 1 Kings 18 when Elijah challenges the fake prophets to see which god or God could bring fire down on an alter.

How is fire a curse and a blessing to mankind? Fire can help us cook stuff, get rid of stuff we don’t want, and keep us warm. On the other hand fire can hurt us, get rid of stuff we do want, and kill us.

God uses fire to describe His presence. In Exodus3:2 Judges 13:20 God used fire to show Moses that He was there. He uses fire to describe His passion in Hebrews 12:29 by describing Himself as a consuming fire. Purity in Acts 2:3-4 when He describes the Holy Spirit as a flame of fire.

Man’s ability to start, sustain, and control fire changed the world by we can kill bad stuff in food by cooking it. We can have warm food. There are forest fires in California. We can be tortured.
